CycleCat > Day 9 - Last Day. 773 miles to home. But first we stopped in Albuquerque to see the hot air balloons fly at the annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
CycleCat > Day 7 - A busy 240 mile day. We first drove down from Jemez Springs and took two short side trips... one to the Gilman Tunnels and another to a winery in Ponderosa. Then we headed across the interstate and climbed the backroad to the Sandia Crest before driving up the Turquoise Trail to Santa Fe for dinner. We returned in the dark via the interstate.
CycleCat > Day 6 - Only 116 miles. We headed further up Hwy 4 to the top of the mountain, then drove east to the cliff dwellings at Bandelier National Monument, then did some grocery shopping in Los Alamos.
CycleCat > Day 4 - Only 165 miles - Down through Cloudcroft, then Alamogordo and White Sands before returning via Tularosa and Mescalero.
CycleCat > Day 3 - easy 90 mile loop - After a good night of rest we drove up to the Mescalero Apache casino and then took Hwy 70 to Hondo, Hwy 380 west through Lincoln and Capitan, then Hwy 48 back into Ruidoso.
CycleCat > Day 2 - 247 easy miles - up Hwy 285 to Artesia, west on Hwy 82 to Cloudcroft, and north on Hwy 244 into Ruidoso, where we would spend the next three nights.
CycleCat > Day 1 - 475 miles - We headed out of Austin on Hwy 71, to Big Spring, then turned due west into Carlsbad, NM, where we spent the night.
